This article lays out the historical and scientific background regarding cumulative environmental health risks and impacts.
Then discusses a set of action recommendations based on perspectives from a diverse group of 16 stakeholders—environmental health scientists, legal and policy scholars, nongovernmental organization leaders, environmental justice advocates, and folks with environmental regulatory agency backgrounds. We also provide an analysis of EPA's legal authorities to address cumulative environmental health risks and impacts.
